Antabuse (disulfiram) is a drug that you may need to use to treat chronic alcoholism, especially in case when you are unable to stop drinking and need some drug to help you with it. Antabuse is never supposed to be taken by patients that are already intoxicated, as it may cause very serious effects aimed at preventing the patient from actually drinking. Less serious side effects include skin rash, sore tongue, acne, swollen tongue, mild headaches, mild drowsiness, and impotence.
