Swedish Massage, which has evolved from a combination of Eastern and Western traditions and was greatly influenced by Swedish physiologist, Per Henrik Ling in the early 1800’s, is designed specifically to relax the muscles. Being both relaxing and invigorating at the same time, this therapeutic treatment aims to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from within the muscles by applying deep pressure to muscles and bones and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart.
